A redesign and rebuild of a health and safety module, to make it more visual, engaging and easier for care staff to learn from. The aim was to create a clear, modern experience while still covering the core principles of health and safety at work.

Content was outdated and didn’t align with current policy
Poor visuals and lack of meaningful interactions that didn’t drive engagement and retention
Scenarios weren’t relatable to care staff
No activities to test knowledge
Learner flow felt disjointed from start to finish
No accessibility options such as subtitles or voiceover
The approach
Rebuilt the module in Rise
Rewrote content so it is clearer but still compliant and informative
Collaborated with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance for care staff
Created a structured learner journey with a short intro video
Improved visuals with a branded illustrated design
Added a variety of interactions using Rise tools and Storyline blocks
Added subtitles and recorded voiceover to support different learner needs
Outcome
Training that felt easier and more engaging for care staff, with clearer content, better visuals and interactions that helped reinforce key health and safety principles. The learner journey was more structured, with built-in activities that tested understanding while still meeting compliance requirements.
